| Now I can be found at least one night/week singing and fiddling at a Songmakers' Hoot, and haven't missed a Kenny Grove Songmakers' Camping week-end since my harp playing/singing husband and I first discovered them about 1 1/2 years ago. We'll be at Music in the Mountains (a folk music week-end) the week-end of Nov. 5-7 at Camp deBenneville Pines-highly recommend it if you're still a folkie! We also do our best to never miss the S.M. Traditional Folk Club which meets in S.M. the first Sat. night of the month. Hope to see you folkies at one of those places! |

| I loved going to the Garret in the late 60's and until it closed. Loved sitting around the fire pit and listening to Terea Lee sing Lemon Tree and Today. I graduated Beverly Hills H.S. in '66 and UCLA in '70. Love to hear from others who hung out there in those days. |

Hi, Terria,
You can get a retrospective CD taken from Terrea's vinyl albums here: www.cafepress.com/thegarretshop.14394351 and the albums themselves sometimes come up for sale on eBay and various rare record sites and auctions on the Internet. Prices vary widely, so it pays to shop around. Amazon.com, iTunes and Kazaa have some of Terrea's music available for download or as demand published CDs, but they are doing this without Terrea's permission (or knowledge, until I told her) and she gets no royalties or other benefit from those sales. At this time, Terrea and some of her friends (including me) are considering what legal action to take with regard to that. So far as I know, thegarret.info is the only Terrea Lea oriented web site on the Internet. She also has a couple of listings in the Internet Movie Database (under Terrea Lea and Terrea Lee) detailing the various TV shows and movies she's appeared in. | Hi my name is Terria Leigh I was told by my parents that I was named after a folk singer. My Dad fell in love with the name but varied the spelling of it. I am trying to find some of Miss Lea's recordings online so I may experience her talented voice. I am hoping to find something I am a great lover of music and work with talented musical artists. Myself and my business partner have a company called 'Teamiz Entertainment" and we produce Tribute Shows. Hope to find out some info on Terrea Lea. Thank You Terria Leigh |

Haven't looked in on you lately - are you and Terrea O.K.?
I'm now playing organ for our local senior center, and sometimes bring the banjo to spice up the music - I only play chords on my 1926 Vega 4-string, but no too many banjo players in this age group, I guess..... Hope you are well..... |

Reading and re-reading every comment by all the guests and then the original content posted by Jerry, has touched deep feelings within me. The Garret experience and Terrea's music had very strong influences forming my values and identity as I moved through adolescence into adulthood, circa 1963 -1970. I cherish this sight, having just found it, as I have always cherished those nights at that little club on Fairfax.
Sights and sounds have been well described, but also there was the impromptu wit and wisdom of Terrea between songs, as she read notes and requests sent up to her,(I always begged for "Mariah" or "The House of The Rising Sun,") and the running comments she made as changed and tuned her guitars. Thanks to everyone who has posted, to the Webmaster for rekindling the glow, most of all, thanks to Terrea Lea for her lifelong impact. Steve Sexson |

| It was wonderful to find this site. I loved the Garret and Terrea Lea and her music. I have wonderful fond memories of the "Garret". I used to go on weekends in the mid 60's. I loved the song "The Lovers" and bought her album with the song on it. Over the years I lent it out and never got it back. I was sorry to see that "The Lovers" was not included in the cd you are selling. Will there be more cd's available? I would love to get it on cd, Terrea sang the song beautifully. Thanks again for the Site and I will always remember Terrea Lea and the Garret. |

Hi Jerry,
Sandy and I met at Hollywood High School in 1959 and one of our favorite date places was the Garret. We were married in 1964 and still stopped by the Garret for a frosted mocha, gingerbread and some great music. Please tell Terrea "Hi" for us. She won't remember us, but we will never forget her.
